Antarcticine is an ingredient we use in our Wrinkle Eraser serum and our  Face Lift moisturizer. 

When researchers happened upon a new type of bacteria, at the bottom of a glazier on King George Island, South Shetland Island, Antarctica, little did they know that they were doing the cosmetic industry a favor.

This new strain, called Pseudoalteromonas Antarctica  was capable of interacting with gelatin, and during cell growth produced, by fermentation, an exopolymer of glycoprotein - composed of 76% protein and 14% sugars.

This is the active ingredient - Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract - patented under the name Antarcticine by the Spanish biotech firm Lipotec, for its remarkable properties in skin care.

When you get older, your body stops producing collagen and gravity takes hold. Saggy un-firm, droopy skin is one of the major signs of skin aging - it can contribute to certain wrinkles such as nasolabial folds, those unappealing lines that run from the nose down to the sides of your mouth. Not to mention droopy eyes, bags under the eyes and, of course, the wrinkled neck.  

Clinically proven results!

Expert medical groups performed several assays on the effectiveness of Antarcticine. Assays and clinical studies include the Crystal Violet Dye Elution assay, in vitro and in vivo tests, corneometry and skin topography analysis. The results were astounding. Heres what they found: Visible increase in skin firmness. Antarcticine was shown to give a 114% increase in the appearance of collagen in just 15 days! It also showed a visible increase in elastin of 27% in the same short time! Of course, the other exciting result from the tests was the dramatic effect it had on the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The results showed the appearance of the depth of wrinkles around the eyes decreased an average of 44%, and up to 50% in some cases, after just 30 days! Antarcticine also showed a 45% increase in hydration after just 7 days!
